I first dabbled in making jewelry while still in high school. Gathering modest beads and findings from the aisle of my small hometown Walmart, I crafted simple necklaces and earrings for myself. Soon family and friends began requesting designs of their own and I had my first taste of the pleasure of jewelry design and the fulfillment of creating something beautiful that brought joy to others.

In 2006, during my sophomore year at the University of Kentucky studying psychology, I discovered the fresh face of Etsy and saw an opportunity to launch a small business to fuel my creative passion. I began spending many late nights in my dorm room designing jewelry and packaging my humble creations to be sent on their way to customers all over the world. I graduated from the bargain beads of my youth and became passionate about working with rare and unique vintage components as well as luxurious pearls and gemstones.

I’m inspired to create pieces with a sense of nostalgia, suggesting the costume jewelry of mothers and grandmothers that so many young girls embrace during innocent games of “dress up” in their youth. Lovingly I breathe new life to vintage pieces (cameos and flower cabochons are especially dear to me), pairing them often with pearls and gems for a sense of elegance, and adding a modern twist for a truly whimsical, unique result. My designs are for the winsome girl, who looks to the past, keeps her head in the clouds, and dreams for the future…
